MK Onik

Michael Madzi, also known as MK Onik is a hip hop artist and songwriter from Lilongwe, Malawi. He started making music at the age of 8, due to influence of his older siblings who were making music that time. MK Onik recorded his very first song using his former artist name MadKid in 2013. In early 2017, he recorded and released his first song and afterwards has continued to release his music. His style varies from different types of music such as old school, melodic and many more. He released his first official single Still Counting featuring Archer (currently known as DoobieMvn) in 2019. MK Onik released his very first mixtape titled MadKid in July 2020. He has also released his very first EP the same year in November titled Black Knight. MK Onik went on to release his second and third mixtape, respectively titled Ironic and Time To Have Fun in 2021. MK Onik also released his second EP Game On Pause and then his fourth mixtape Open Up And Relate in November 2022. In 2023 MK Onik went on to release his third EP Middleman, then afterwards he released his fifth project An Impactful Masterpiece in July and then his sixth mixtape Fun Season 2 which is a sequel to his project Time To Have Fun. In 2024, he released his fourth EP Love Or Hate and his seventh mixtape Focus On Me. MK Onik's main influences are Young Thug, J. Cole and many more.
