Pastor Bright James Masumba a singer-songwriter and producer, The Background & Sound He was raised in Eastern Region of Malawi and made Mangochi his home for more than three decades. In 1996/7 he stayed in Republic of South Africa where he studied music privately and primarily focused on creative and technical songwriting essential skills like rhyme schemes, chord progressions, and lead sheets gathered from the “The Billboard Book of Songwriting” by written by Peter Pickow and Amy Appleby. In early 2001 He went for cross cultural mission training at CAPRO in Jos Plateau in Nigeria. The missionary training and music laid a base and stepping stone in reaching and envisioning people from all walks of life to worship and serve one true God through his spiritual and secular songs. His uplifting contemporary unique music blends specific elements built on foundation of ambient synths, soulful melodies, clean, bright, percussive, intricate picking up of both acoustic and electric guitars. His music features sonic and distinctive styles including African beat, African Gospel, Flava, pop, Ballard, Reggae, R&B and a blend of African Pop and Fusion Pastor Bright James Masumba is one of the locally renowned singer- songwriter and producer based in Mangochi City.
